Kahlil Gibran is a world-known poet, writer, and artist. He has produced many books but The Prophet has gained worldwide recognition. In this afikra feature, Aida Murad explores who Kahlil Gibran is and most importantly what inspired him to write The Prophet. In this you will learn about his upbringing, the people, events and places that inspired him to write this incredible book made up of 26 prose poems delivered as sermons by a wise man called Al Mustapha.
