Bio: Isa Aljalahma is the Founder of JILID. A leather crafting brand based in Doha, Qatar. Isa founded JILID to follow his passion for leather crafting and product designing. He loves working with his hands and utilizing old traditional techniques of leather crafting where traditions resulted in premium leather products that contained more character, more identity, and more strength than contemporary machine-made products. Currently he's utilizing his brand to share his passion with the world. Today, Jilid ships their products worldwide with a focus in MENA region.

Samer Yamani is a design curator and creative director with expertise in contemporary crafts. He has curated and directed exhibitions and design collections in collaboration with prestigious institutions, brands and designers in more than 40 cities around the world, with a special focus on the Middle East. His curatorial practice is characterised by digging deep into local cultures, leading him to work closely with local designers and artisans. He worked on significant programmes, collections and exhibitions include MENASA- Emirati Design Platform by Expo 2020 Dubai (2021), PostCraft Collection by BD Barcelona Design (2017), LIWAN Design Studio and Labs by Qatar Museums (2018) and Crafts Dialogue Collections by Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council in Sharjah (2019). His work has also been exhibited at many international art and design events, including Milan Salone Del Mobile, London Design Festival, Dubai Design Week,
21,39 Jeddah Art Fair, Paris Design Week, London Design Fair, Besign Mexico, Lima Design Week and Casablanca Biennale.

Asma Derouiche is an interdisciplinary artist and designer with a multicultural background. She is interested in the middle eastern culture and the preservation as well as the emergence of a cultural identity. Her research explores dimensions of authenticity through reimagined cultural artifacts. Primarily through performances, her work invites the audience to interact with heritage inspired objects in novel ways. Her most recent project was a collaborative work between designers and artisans that produced and fostered re-imagined cultural artifacts, as well as promoted cultural appreciation of a Qatari product that becomes important in the definition and formation of an authentic identity

The Liwan, Design Studios & Labs department at Qatar Museums assists with developing content, visuals and detailed plans for social media announcements. Additionally, they work on planning related events, programs and activities.
