British Council and afikra would like to invite you to a conversation circle around the potential role/s the international entities working in Lebanon can have in supporting its arts and culture scene.
This conversation comes following the Build Back Better (BBB) initiative organized by the British Council to understand the needs of the Lebanese cultural sector in the context that followed the economic collapse and the Beirut port explosion. As the country is facing a multitude of challenges including: a massive brain drain, the total failure of infrastructure, and the scarcity and uncertainty we are living in, we would like to have a productive & action oriented conversation on some of the following theme: what are the objectives that need to be prioritized as part of the collaborative relationships between international entities and local cultural organizations?
